Can anyone help. The throttle on my X11 is very heavy, and even with thegrip end adjusters fully out, there is no cable slack.:aargh:

:welcome: to the x11oc

  1. Make sure the cables are routed correctly and without any kinks.
  2. Remove the throttle twist grip from the handlebar and dribble some light oil down the cable shrouds... airline oil is good for cables!
  3. Get one of those attachments that go on your grip and rest against your palm.
  4. If all else fails... Replace the cables.

Good luck...

I had this problem and fixed it by disassembling the twist grip housing and lubricating the cables "in situ" with a number of applications of 3 in 1 oil with PTFE, allowing the oil to soak down the cable each time. It works a treat now.
