subframe squish

has anyone put subframe raisers in?im literally squished against the tank surely thats not right?

Yep you will be up against the tank a bit more because you have lifted the tail up but not enough to be stuck to it. Not in my case anyway.

By raising the subframe, you cannot avoid being pushed forward slightly towards the tank. The minimum size spacer you can get away with is about 25mm (give or take 1mm). I have fitted subframe risers to my bike, but it is still comfortable, even at the new angle.

You could do that but it's wise to have a good think before starting cutting the seat up. If you make a mistake, then it's gonna be a new seat. You could send it away to a specialist to be re-shaped and re-covered. Have a look at standish's in the gallery, his looks quite good. Not a clue who or where does them though.:)
