i had my x11 valve clearances done today it cost me ?280 most of it was labour they apparently had to shim three valves does this price sound right,

Well, they have to take the camshafts out to get at the shims... and it's a big job to even get at those in the first place.

So it'd be a full days work for a mechanic to do a proper service including shims... so I don't think you've been robbed.

That sounds reasonable matt. Incidentaly,whats the mileage of your x11?

its just under 20k he said he pumped the cables full of lube aswell and i have a massive oil lick from both sides is this normal?
