Quick Oil Level Question

Just a quick question about the engine oil level. I've just changed the oil and the filter and I now come to check that the level is correct. The book tells me to check the level with the bike on the centre stand. However, my bike has had the centre stand removed.

Can you give me a rough idea of how far off the ground the rear wheel is, when it's on the centrestand. So that I can see if I'm anywhere near. I should be somewhere in the ball park, as I've put about 3.8 litres in.
