Instrument Cluster

Took bike into work this morning and at certain speeds one of the backlights behind the rev counter flickers on and off.(around the 4k mark)

Is this a big job to fix??

The cluster is held in place at the sides with two bolts through the headlamp brackets, it also has two bolts under the headstock cover that bolt into the steering head. It is not a big job to remove it. The loom for the instruments passes through into the headlamp bowl, The instrument housing seperates by removing the self tapping screws in the underside of the front half. If you want to remove the complete housing from the bike (to work on a table) it will require the loom seperating inside the headlamp bowl. Reassembly is just the reverse operation.

Sounds like a loose bulb.

My speedo bulb popped a while back. Don't tighten the screws too much that hold the clocks together!!
