Posted September 2, 2014 The clutch on the my X11 bites at the right at the end of The handlebar lever travel. It has some after market levers fitted with 5 clicks of adjustment on them.Anyway with the Levers set to 5 and if I loosened the lock wheel and screwed The threaded part of the cable in a bit,I managed to obtain some Play and the bite moved to nearer the bar...happy days!! Unfortunately I decided to have another fiddle and now the cable doesnt want to play anymore and wont adjust in or out. I didnt want to force the issue, the bike rides perfectly fine as before So I am back to square one. Two options I think.Remove the pivot bolt and lever unhook the cable End and try to carefully unscrew the cable and free things up.Or use the adjuster down by the motor. The cable action is fine,no problems with sticking or anything.. Any helpful opinions chaps? Anyone had similar problems? 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted September 2, 2014 Give it a good soak in WD40 then try warming the ally around the adjuster with a heat gun (not a flame !!) If it doesn't free off then then try to get the adjustment back at the bottom , if this fails then your faced with buggering up the adjuster to get it out , or worse buggering up the l/h cable bracket . Not the end of the world if it all buggers up £29 for a new cable bracket and £3.50 for a new adjuster 0 Share this post Link to post
