Starter valve / throttle stop

7 posts in this topic

Hello,

a few weeks ago i decided to get an X 11. I joined this briljant forum and started to do some long overdue maintenance with help of a very experienced friend. He is british and lives over here. U lot might like that.

We stunled upon a broken starter valve / throttle stop on cylinder number 3. It's a bitt of 8mm plastic screw with piston like thing. It's brok and the previous owner knew about it because he jammed it with lubricant to keep it moving. Off course it will cause trouble sooner or later. Shoke won't come off when it decides to sop moving. (I expect soon).

That specific part is not sold as a loose part. And there was no price listed. Now i am witing for a price, which will be probably horrible.

Question :

Does anyone have some throttlebody parts for sale.?

Does anyone have experience with this thing, maybe even replaced one himself?

Do parts from a CBR1100 XX fit maybe?

Thanks,

Greetz Paul

Probably best to contact a few of the breakers that list on the auction site.

Or try David Silver Spares for a new part.

Well, it is a tiny bit that is asssembled at factory and does not come appart. 3 weeks deleivery time from japan > 70E. Pretty ridiculous.

So I will have to wait. So far i found wrong spark plugs, leaking injector gaskets on no 1 and 4 cycinder. A whole lot off horrible black stuff in injector bodies and system. It is a mess in there. Some real idiot has been attacking this bike. But, all can be fixed.

Who has experience with rear end underplate? Do most of them just fit? because igniter is also in a box in that same tailfender bit.

Thx
