Fuel reserve

When my reserve light comes on, according to the book, there's only 2L of fuel left out of a 22L tank. However, the most I've been able to get in to brim the tank when the light comes on is just over 14L. Yesterday, after it lit I carried on for another 10+ miles and still only managed to get just undr 15L in. Anyone else have this or is my tank small? (I'm too chicken to run it dry.)

I never look at the measurement of fuel but when the panic light comes on I try to fuel up within 10 miles or so.I usual get about £25 worth in work it out at £1,40 its about 17-18 litres would not like to get closer than that on a 22 litre tank.

Cheers for that. Does anyone know if the fuel sensor can be adjusted?

The sensor is built into the fuel pump, they don't list any adjustment that you can do and it's a bit of a job to remove it anyway.

 

Maybe worth a fiddle when you need a new filter.

Tested that thing before, light came on and i filled 20L.
