Electric Fan.

Hello all. Recently joined the club and wondered if anyone could help me with this one. Just bought the bike (2003 with 25k on) and am a little concerned that the electic fan seems to cut in when the temp guage reads max. Is this a common problem and maybe needs a temp sensor change or is this the norm. It seems very hot for a fan to be cutting in. Best regards Mike Bull

They do run hot that's for sure but mostly the fan kicks in just before the red zone.

Maybe an idea to change the coolant 50/50 antifreeze and water. Whilst you have it drained remove the fan switch from the rad and give it a good scrub.
