Basic Electronics Guide.

5 posts in this topic

A nice basic guide for electro-manglers!

Make yourself some nice led indicators or tail-lights and maybe put the right resistor on your O2 eliminator etc... shows you what components are and what they do.

Don't blame me if you blow things up tho!

Eddy, look down the bookmarks there is one for a breadboard. Is that not a bit dangerous, sharp knives and electrickry. Wonder if it lights up and flashes as you chop??:doh:but it is kind of interesting for simple folk people like me

Nooo, it's fine, so long as you wear your marigolds whilst doing your chopping!

Could have done with wearing mine tonight!

Soldering a few more new capacitors into the PSU of my Sky HD box (nasty quality chinese nightmare) and my soldering iron blew up! Nearly shat myself as the sparks and smoke engulfed me!

Anyway, I survived along with the HD box... just ordered a new soldering iron from these folks.

Allsorts of electrickery goodies if you need them http://www.bowood-electronics.co.uk/index.php

I had some head scratching the other week fitting l.e.d's in the undertray and wiring em to the brake light...

Miles better now as the light is more difficult to see with undertray fitted.B)
