Leathers

4 posts in this topic

Because of the worsening weather I've gone over to my fabric riding gear. So I'll need to "winter" the leathers. Normally just hang them in a spare slot in the wardrobe, but come summer they are hard and un yielding even with leather/saddle soap.Don't want to use plastic bags as last time I did that they went mouldy.

Any tips guys?

My leathers have been treated with there leather balsam, don't wear them much now they are just thrown in the loft but they dont go hard or mouldy. they do a cleaner too.

Use it on my boots also to keep them supple & waterproof works.

was going to suggest renpur too. Just bought a tub at the NEC show and have put it on everything. Nest stuff I've ever used.

I use Nikwax, that's quite good too.
