problems with cdi unit

6 posts in this topic

Hello.

Just bought a 2000 mod x11.

The former owner has chortend the cable from the cdi unit to the tachometer. (RPM).

Do you have an idea how to fix it??

If I put a cable directly from the coil to the tachometer it shows to little.

Any idea woul be helpful!

Thanks

Can't you just extend the wires back to their original lengths?

There is no signal on the cable to the thacometer. and only that one . all the other cables are fine!

so I wonder if there is something to do? a workaround?? or a small box that I can connect directly to one of the coils and then connect it to the tachometer.so i can use the original speedo.

Please help me:huh:

You'll need to get a HISS unit and match your keys with a new CDI unit. (If yours has the HISS system).

I doubt the Blackbird one will do but I dunno if anyone has ever tried?

Maybe you can look at tacho suppliers to see if one is available with feed from the coil(s)?
