Gearing

3 posts in this topic

On most of my bikes i go 1 tooth down on the front. My last B12 i went 1 down on the front and 2 up on the rear ;D/It still indicated 140 and was mental.

As my usual riding is less than 50 miles each way im thinking of going 1 tooth down on the front.Does it make the front end more lively ;D.And by how much.Is it very noticable.Would like the front to come up off the throttle in 2nd like it does in 1st ;)

It buggers up your speedo readings a bit too... but there is a thread or two in the forum archive.

ive gone 1 down on the front and 2 up on the back and with 163 bhp you can imagine its quite fun but i do that gearing on all my bike just to give it a bit more accelaration and mid range
