Non starter

2 posts in this topic

Decided to go for a "quick" spin on the bike, fuel light was on so popped to the local petrol station (about 2 1/2 miles away) filled it up, went in and paid, came out and it wouldn't start (behaving like a flat battery) bump started it and came home, got out of my leathers and went to check the obvious (battery connections, battery condition etc.) Nothing amiss so hit the starter button,  fired up first time, lights are bright although the headlight dims a bit in time with the indicators when it's ticking over. First time in 6 years that it's ever given me any problems and now it seems fine!

I think it was trying to tell me something!!!

Time to get the Voltmeter out and check the voltage going into the battery and leave overnight and check if battery is holding charge. But after 6 years it could be Rec/Reg
