Do I need a special tool to remove the front mudgaurd, tried with Allen keys and they just slip out from the bolts!

No but carefully give the bolts a soaking of WD40 from the inside covering the disc etc .leave overnight. Not done mine for a while but seem to remember only 4 bolts on forks then jiggling it out.

Thanks blue

Worked out why I had a problem...the bolt bracket on the inside of the mudgaurd had broken free of the plastic slots so was just rotating when I tried to undo it, I managed to get a pair of grips inside to hold it then repaired by sticking in place with resin mix, also repaired a large crack with a cheap plastic welding kit from Amazon, worked perfectly so all fixed, resprayed and back on the bike !

glad you have fitted it but my mudguard fits to fork leg by tapped holes in lugs on fork casting so maybe you have after market guard?
