Won't turn over

Hi Guys

Just got my X11 out after standing it for the winter, I've charged the battery and checked it.

The bike is not turning over just a fast rattling sound. 

Any suggestions,

Hi Richard I take it there no flashing F! lights , Check under seat that no vermin have been at wires and check connects at at ECU . IF it has main stand I would try to turn rear wheel by hand in gear ( get someone to hole bike ) .IF it not turning that one thing but bike does not like old fuel sure there be better ideas than mine appearing

This battery that you've "charged and checked". What volts does it show when pressing the starter button?

Undo and clean earthing points.

Charge the battery for 8 hours, stand battery for 8 hours, check with digital volt meter if reading is 12.6v or above its good, if reading is below 12.6 after 8 hour standing the battery is not 100%. Get a new one.
