Posted March 22, 2022 Hi Guys, My bike has been draining itself since I swapped out the engine over the winter, and with the help of a workshop manual I downloaded, I think I have the problem isolated to the red/green wire going into the back of the speedometer (0.5 mA with it connected and 0A without). Has anyone had a similar problem before, or have any ideas for fixing it? Or do I try to fit a universal instrument cluster? Thanks in advance. 0 Share this post Link to post

Posted March 22, 2022 Always a possibility of course, but Im fairly sure the harness wasnt damaged during the swap over. 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted March 24, 2022 Have you connected the correct plug to the correct sensors on the engine ? 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted March 27, 2022 Yes they are all good, Im fairly sure its the clocks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted March 28, 2022 I'd try and find the short or whatever. Fitting aftermarket clocks is a real rabbit hole, the examples I've seen haven't been fantastic. 0 Share this post Link to post
Posted March 31, 2022 I have sourced a replacement set of clocks for not too bad money, hopefully that sorts it, thanks lads 👍 0 Share this post Link to post
