Service/repair worth doing

2 posts in this topic

Had a fault with the X for a while, the indicators would stop working or work in a weird way by flashing on and off.

So I decided top strip down the indicator switch, a can of electrical spray, some copper grease and cotton wool buds, turns out the problem is that the middle connector would only get a light spray of electrical cleaner spraying it through the gaps in the indicator assembly, now the indicators work like new after cleaning out years of crap from the connectors.

I would recommend a strip if your having the slightest problem getting the indicators working, a little fiddly but not hard.
