Will a Blackbird radiator fit the X11?

6 posts in this topic

Hi all,

I've had my X11 since end of August, its a high mileage, two owner machine that I'm spending a lot of time polishing and fettling. However I need a new radiator and can't find any on ebay. Lots of Blackbird rads though, does anyone know if one of those would fit the X11?

They aren't very different in shape but I think the mounts are different.

Take your existing one to a local radiator specialists, sometimes they can re-core them.

Otherwise, it'll be a new one from Honda or Dave Silvers. (ouch).

IF you look at Lings motorcycle spares it gives you the part number.Don't know if you could see if any other bike has same part number then look on ebay ?

Thanks for the advice and tips, I'll see what comes up with further searching. I can't justify getting a new Rad that would be just about half of what I paid for the bike!!

Just had a look on fleabay last night as someone on the facebook x11 group told me to try a fuel injected honda blackbird radiator. Has anyone tried this or know anything about it?. As they do have a similar looking shape to me but i could be wrong

There are some new radiators going for £40+ and plenty of secondhand ones

As eddy mentioned on the above posts the mounts are in a different position and so is the fan mounts

Also the screw holes for the fairing bracket on both sides are missing too.

But i guess these problems could possibly be solved.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
