Remus Blackbird Downpipes

4 posts in this topic

Evening all. Hot enough for you? Anyway, I've bought a set of Remus Blackbird downpipes for my X11. Are the copper exhaust gaskets the same for the X11 and the Blackbird? Also what is the bracket I need to connect the Blackbird pipes to the X11? Does anyone have a drawing of one? I can now get one made at work as I work for an engineering shop. Many thanks peeps.

To my mind those gaskets are the same.

I think that there is no extra bracket that you need, how ever i dont know how that Remus looks.

Usually downpipes are attached with those flanges (not sure about the right word) to cylinder head and with one bracket behind/under the engine.

Maybe you are mixing this with the fact that you have to modify the lower bracket of the radiator (again if your model of downpipes requires it.

Hi. Yeah I'm probably thinking of the bottom bracket. I've ordered a lambda sensor eliminator. I'll get the exhaust gaskets next.
