Red instrument faces

14 posts in this topic

I really dislike the red instrument faces on the X11 clocks.

What is the point of them..Difficult to read,  red that will eventually turn pink

when subjected to too much sun..

Anyway from reading the odd post on here I am led to believe

that you can purchase and fit some white replacements..

Is this correct? Does anyone know where from?Has anyone done this?

Was it a complete ball ache to do?

   Any comments appreciated chaps

Eddy that has always been my pet hate on the X11 why-o-why Honda saw fit to place red faces on the clocks is beyond me, what I am dreading is night riding in Europe when its going to impossible to see the speed your going as KM are in dark grey.

Thanks chaps...looks like you have send your mph speedo face or a scan of it

because they only produce kph versions for their own market...Still I think that

I will take this a bit further and see what develops

Would be better if the KM/H were in a brighter colour for those that do European trips.

Also does this effect the speed reading?, I mean are they as accurate as the Honda ones.

I've been in Europe many times on the X now and the KPH readings are spot on , I also use a sat nav and the readings are no different than the MPH so in fairness to Honda they have it pretty accurate in the MPH to KPH conversion.

What I meant was the replacement face I wish the KM/ph were black or something I really struggle to see the grey at night.

just noticed though that redline seems to start be at 9krpm and original x11's seem to start at 10.5 k
