Valve opening duration and overlap.

I got asked this recently by one of our star tuners....

It's easy to calculate...

inlet opens 15^o BTDC and closes 35^o ABTC. (from the workshop manual).

So that's 15 + 180 + 35 = 230^o in total.

exhaust opens 40^o BBDC and closes 10^o ATDC. (again from the workshop manual).

So that's 40 + 180 + 10 = 230^o in total

Camshaft Calculations - Lobe Center / Duration

Overlap of 25.00 degrees and has in Intake Duration of 230.00 degrees. The Exhaust Duration is 230.00 degrees.

The Inlet Cam has an Installed Centerline of 100.00 degrees ATDC. The exhaust cam has an Installed Centerline of 105.00 degrees BTDC.
