4000 mile service

3 posts in this topic

Picked the bike up at 18000 now at 21756 and ready for a 4000 mile service.

Seems I have two options, take it to the place of purchase or have a go myself then pay them to fix it.

Any ideas of the cost of a 4000 miler if nothing major is amiss?

Look at the service shedule in "service helpers" or in your owners handbook... decide if it's worthwhile spending ?150 or so for an unnecessary oil change and a few half arsed checks?

The only thing really worthwhile at that sort of mileage is a good clean of the brake pads... and given your lack of confidence in spanner juggling I'd get it booked in! Make sure they do check the brakes tho!

Point taken, best put in the hands of those that know what they are doing methinks.

Cheers Eddy.
