What a mess

My x11 was struggling around 6000rpm.

I inspected the spark plugs. All good.

Then I took a look in the fuel tank...

The former Owner let a complete fuel tank dry out.

The brown dirt is what remains if the whole fuel ist dried.

What a mess!

So I took some lemon acid and a sponge...

The result is not bad.

Three rattle cans of brake cleaner later, the fuel pump is fine again.

The next 2-3 times i will put Aral 102 Octane in and a bottle fuel system cleaner.

A lucky escape for you there Tino, and a warning to the rest of us. Glad you got it sorted relatively easily.
