Dyno results

3 posts in this topic

Hi guys,

I took my bike to the dyno today for a long overdue tune after some tinkering.

Here's the mods I have -

  • Akrapovic headers and custom end section to retain the twin pipe setup
  • Campbell sidewinder twin exhausts
  • All 4 velocity stacks at the same height (longer)
  • Blackbird fuel pressure regulator
  • Blackbird airbox inlet rubbers
  • Power commander 3
  • K&N air filter

I know this dyno to be a bit conservative on the figures, compared to the one I have run on a few times at Gt motorcycles in Plymouth.

That said I was not really looking for big power increases. More to make sure that the fuelling was correct across the whole rev range.

The two graphs shown are my first run before tuning (in green)

The second (in red) is the final dyno run after power commander setup.5cfe86f787033_IMG_20190610_171440316(1).thumb.jpg.37b3cac92fd2dea7c37b06c2765d4c75.jpg

Much more rideable now and the power delivery is certainly improved.

I hope the graph is of use to someone one day looking at these particular mods!

Hi Kev,

Thanks, bit by bit I am tuning my bike and I find this chart and setup review very helpfull. I already have a k&n filter, iridium sparks, short bos gts exhausts and just did a chainchange with 16/43 sprockets. The pc3 is waiting to be installed but first I want to change the headers. If Im correct you have had the delkevic ( and several more) headers installed? Can you give any advice or experience about them? Would be very appreciated!
