Clutch cable routing.

5 posts in this topic

right the clutch cable I have on the bike has been routed wrong, this has caused it to bend the cable as is currently routed through the top of the radiator, I know it should be routed through the front of the tank, as I have no diagram to help me, can someone just give me a brief description of routing so that I don't put it wrong and route it and make the same mistake.

If you look in the first section of the workshop manual (general information) there are diagrams .

I think there is a heavy duty wire hoop that is part of the brake hose mounting bracket.

Yeah, I saw that, that is where the clutch is supposed to feed through, just waiting for the clutch cable to come in then I will fit it, the clutch adjustment is so bad that its grindy to get into gear and neutral at the moment, I don't want to adjust it as I reckon the cable will snap, so I'm using the Harley at the moment.
