Shims

I will be doing a major service on the X-11, one of the jobs will be the shims, I thought I might as well buy a shim pack.

 

looking on EBay I noticed you have shim packs for just about everything.

 

I thought shims were pretty much all the same?.

 

so I am a bit confused, can anyone enlighten me on which pack to buy?.

I wouldn't bother, there's many different combinations. I'd just check them and order the correct sizes if you need any.

Thing is eddy I need to use my bike, this is why I want a box of shims so I can change and go so to speak.

Hi the one thing I won't do is try to set the clearance with ebay shims as if they are not harden to right spec they will wear that if they are made of the right material in the first place.As wemoto are selling shims at £3.58 each and you may found there you may swap shims over as you set up I would find what you need then get from a dealer you trust.
